Fatah: Release More Terrorists and We'll Resume Talks

The central committee of the Fatah terror organization, headed by Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, said Thursday, that Israel would have to release veteran security prisoners Ahmed Sa'adat and Marwan Barghouti, among others, if they wanted the PA  to return to diplomatic talks with Israel. The Fatah leadership also demanded, during a meeting in Ramallah, acceptance of the two-state solution - based on pre-June 1967 borders and an end to Jewish building in Judea, Samaria and eastern Jerusalem.

Sa'adat planned and led the group that assassinated Tourism Minister Rechav'am Ze'evi more than 10 years ago. Barghouti is serving life sentences for his role in the terror murders of five Israelis.
