Fire at Soroka Causes Emergency Room Evacuation

Fire broke out, Monday morning, at Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva'. A hospital spokesperson said the automatic firefighting system was activated when smoke reached the emergency room from a light fixture which caught fire in the basement.

Patients and medical staff in the emergency room were evacuated and firefighters dealt with the fire. No injuries or cases of smoke inhalation were reported. The patients were treated and the emergency room was cleared of the smoke.
