      Begin Schedules News Conference on Migron Report


      Minister without Portfolio Benny Begin has scheduled a news conference for noon, Monday at the Prime Minister's Office, to respond to a report by Arutz Sheva, Sunday evening, that the government is withdrawing from portions of an arrangement, reached two weeks ago, to retain the Binyamin-region Jewish community of Migron.

      Begin represented the government in the negotiations. Based on comments by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, it was agreed that Migron residents would be relocated to another part of their strategicly located hilltop, overlooking Highway 60, and currently standing structures would not be touched, pending a determination on ownership of the community's land. It was reported, Sunday evening, that the Civil Administration for Judea and Samaria insists on destroying those structures, pending a determination on the ownership of the land, and building new structures, depending on the outcome.
