The Samaria-Judea police arrested a knife-wielding resident of Kalkilye, Monday, when he tried to rob an undercover officer at the Tzufim Junction, next to the western Samarian Palestinian Authority city.

The detainee faces a remand hearing, Monday morning. Police say more arrests are pending in connection with a wave of recent carjackings in the area.
