The Ministerial Committee on Legislation unanimously rejected, Sunday, a proposal by Member of Knesset Zahava Gal-On (Meretz) to operate public transportation on Shabbat.
Science Minister Daniel Hershkowitz said, "We're against populist proposals," and the measure fell without the need for debate.
