Yeshiva Soldiers Demand Reserve Duty

Israel Defense Force soldiers who participated in the Netzach Yehuda Battalion have published a petition demanding they be called up for annual reserve duty like other units. Netzach Yehuda is a special unit that caters to Israelis from the yeshiva world, with strictly kosher food and complete separation of men and women.

The soldiers stated that the army does not call them up for their annual reserve training session. Yedioth Ahronoth's online web site reported that one soldier stated, "these are quality soldiers who want to continue contributing to the state even after completing their active duty."
