Meltzer: There's Still Time to Release Tarabin

Attorney Yitzchak Meltzer, who represents Ouda Tarabin, the Israeli being held in prison in told Arutz Sheva on Tuesday that after more than 4,00 days in captivity, it is time to release Tarabin.

“So far nothing has happened,” Meltzer said. “We were hoping that he’d be released as part of the Ilan Grapel deal. Three months have passed since then and nothing has happened.”

He said that Israel should work to free Tarabin while there is someone to speak to on the Egyptian side. “Egypt is still run by the military council, headed by Tantawi who holds executive power. We still have time to talk to him. Of course I worry about Tarabin’s fate when Egypt will be ruled by the Muslim Brotherhood-led government.”
