Police, Border Guards to Get Free Light Rail

Starting Friday, police officers and Border Guards in uniform will be allowed to ride the Jerusalem light rail for free, under an agreement reached Thursday evening. They join active duty soldiers, for whom a similar agreement was announced last week.

Friday also marks the start of changes to Jerusalem's bus system, under which lines in the southern part of the city will start feeding the light rail. Similar changes are slated for the northern end of the capital.
