The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange opened with a slight decline in prices in mixed trading on Monday. The TA composite index slipped .02 percent to 1,001.92, while the TA 100 opened at 1,009.99, down .03 percent, including a .15 percent drop by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues to 1,112.90.
The oil and gas stocks rose .74 percent to 1,238.48, while the biomed index opened at 775.33, up .61 percent. The other tech issues declined .19 percent to 280.74. The real estate index opened at 278.41, up .06 percent, while the communications stocks fell .12 percent to 756.43. With insurance issues declining .29 percent to 1,074.60, the financial institutions opened at 912.74, down a quarter of a percent, including a .22 percent fall by the bank stocks to 983.24.
