The Knesset Committee on Immigrant Absorption and Diaspora Affairs is scheduled to hold a hearing, Tuesday on the fight by Jewish communities in Europe against the prohibition of kosher slaughtering by national governments. During the hearingprograms will be brought up for dealingwiththe fear oflegislationagainstJewishritual slaughterat the informationalandpolitical levels vis-a-vis the world'sparliaments.
The hearing will also include informationaboutthe situation ofJewish communities around theworldconvinced thatthe legislationin question is only intendedtoconstitutean additional meansof persecuting Jews anddefamingJudaism.
