U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton welcomed on Sunday the renewal of talks between representatives of Israel and the Palestinian Authority in Jordan on Tuesday.

Clinton said in a statement, “We welcome and support this positive development. We hope that the process can move forward on the path proposed by the Quartet.”

She added, “The status quo cannot continue and the parties must act boldly to advance peace.”
