Seventeen Israelis are joining an existing lawsuit against the Israel Atomic Energy Commission, claiming that they suffered physical problems and illnesses as a result of their work at the Dimona nuclear plant. The 17 are joining a group of 44 workers at Dimona and at the Sorek test plant who are already suing the Commission for damages.

The plaintiffs say that they were exposed to radioactive materials due to management negligence and are demanding compensation and recognition as disabled workers. Most of the workers were at the plant during the 1970s and 1980s.
