The Histadrut Labor Federation announced, Friday morning, that a strike against Israel Railways will start on Wednesday instead of Monday, following the scheduling of a meeting, Tuesday evening, between Histadrut Chairman Ofir Eini and Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz. Chairwoman Gila Edri of the railroad's worker committee asked rank-and-file to be patient in order to allow the meeting to succeed.
The workers are against plans to outsource maintenance of the railroad's rolling stock.
