Dollar Up More than Euro


The official value of the shekel declined by an average of .178 percent against most of the other major currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.784, up .238 percent from Wednesday's rate, while the Euro rose .197 percent to 4.941 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 5.9331, up .177 percent, while the Japanese yen slipped .083, 100 yen buying 4.8441. The Australian dollar rose .691 percent to 3.8349 while the Canadian dollar was fixed at 3.6946, up .561 percent.
