Bank of Israel Budget to Rise Almost 95 Million Shekels

It was announced, Monday, that the Bank of Israel's budget will rise almost 95 million shekels in 2012. Bank executives told a Knesset Finance Committee discussion on the budget that the increases include computers and programs in case of a national emergency, pension agreements and management reserves.

While the committee generally praised bank management, committee member Uri Ariel asked its leaders to reconsider the document, given its increases and cuts being taken by other ministries. Committee member Zevulun Orlev said the bank should exercise the same budgetary discipline it demainds.
