The Tel Aviv Stock Exchanged opened slightly higher in mixed trading, Tuesday morning. The TA composite index rose .27 percent to 962.71, with the same percentage increase producing a 970.61 posting for the TA 100, including a .44 percent gain to 1,068.12 for the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues. The 50 stocks just outside the TA 100 rose .15 percent to 348.00.
A .44 percent hike for bank stocks produced a posting of 935.58 as the financial institutions checked in at 891.92, up .33 percent, including a .35 percent increase by the insurance issues to 1,063.84. The oil and gas index rose .17 percent to 1,154.33 and most of the technology stocks edged up an average of .01 percent to 279.68, while the biomed issues declined two tenths of a percent to 706.87. The communications index opened at 752.54, down .15 percent, and the real estate index declined four tenths of a percent to 265.67.
