Modest to moderate gains were posted, Thursday, to close the trading week at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. The TA composite index closed at 964.24 for a daily gain of .33 percent. The TA 100 stocks rose .28 percent to 973.56, including a .26 gain by the Maof 25 most-capitalized issues to 1,070.73. The 50 mid-cap stocks just below the TA 100 rose 1.19 percent to 343.44.
The companies on the Ma'ala organization's Socially Responsible Investing index rose 1.34 percent to 818.71, while the real estate index closed at 270.23, up .59 percent. With bank stocks rising 1.31 percent to 945.52, the financial institutions finished the day at 1.27 percent. Most of the technology stocks rose an average of .68 percent to 278.85, while the biomed issues finished the day at 707.45, up .76 percent. The oil and natural gas stocks rose four tenths of a percent to 1,173.64, while the communications stocks closed at 757.08, up .14 percent.
