Security Drill in Upper Galilee Monday

A routine military exercise is scheduled, Monday, in Kiryat Shemonah and the Upper Galilee as part of the Israel Defense Forces' annual assessment of fitness and preparedness. During the drill, there will be brisk movement of troops and security vehicles, accompanied by the sounds of sirens and explosions.

The exercise is taking place against the backdrop of Hizbullah terrorists in nearby Lebanon being on a high level of alert, expressing fear of Israeli action. Recently, terrorists close to the Mediterranean end of the border fired four Katyusha rockets at Israel.
