Lebanese Al-Qaeda Backed Terror Group Says it Attacked

A Lebanese terror group with ties to Al-Qaeda said Tuesday that it was responsible for Monday night's Katyusha rocket attack on Israel. The group, called the Abdullah Azzam Brigades, issued a statement saying that the rockets “destroyed the farms of the Zionist enemy.”

Last April, the group took responsibility for firing rockets from Gaza at southern Israel. Those rockets struck areas in Ashkelon.
