Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said, Monday, that Israel hopes to stabilize its peace agreement with Egypt and is working with the United States on the matter.
Addressing the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee during a policy session, Netanyahu said, "An Islamist wave is flooding the Arab world after decades of stable government. There are those who call it the Arab Spring. We face an unstable reality. We cannot estimate how long it will take until the situation stabilizes. We have to act responsibly and carefully. This is not the time for hasty acts. The stable situation we had is going to change."
