      Interest Rate Expected to Drop

The Bank of Israel is expected to lower the rate it charges commercial banks by a quarter of a percent when the December interest is announced, Monday evening, according to a poll by Bloomberg.

Citing declines in European and American markets, 17 of Bloomberg's 21 analysts felt the rate would be reduced to 2.75 percent, while the other four felt it would remain unchanged at three percent.
