Ayalon: Fatah-Hamas Reconciliation Hurts Talks Chances

Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalong attacked, Saturday, this past week's words of reconciliation between the Hamas and Fatah terror factions. Referring to Chairman Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority, he said, "The comments of Abu-Mazen on the lack of disagreement with Hamas raise real concerns. Unity like this turns the Palestinian Authority into the terror authority."

Ayalon continued, "This is a mortal wound to an agreement and the Palestinians are responsible. As Hamas continues to build and strengthen the infrastructure of terror, this brings the likelihood that Israel will have to act." He added that the Foreign Office has been considering a complete break from Gaza.
