Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange posted modest to moderate losses to close out the trading week on Thursday. The lone bright spot was the index of the 20 most-widely-invested corporate bonds, which rose .14 percent to 274.13. The TA composite index declined .59 percent to 990.43, while the TA 100 closed at 1,002.18, down .57 percent, including a .77 percent drop to 1,103.68 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested common stocks.
With the banks taking a 1.76 percent hit to close at 953.30, the financial institutions finished the day at 901.08, down 1.45 percent. The biomed stocks fell 1.03 percent to 7430.41, while the other technology stocks closed at 280.78, down a quarter of a percent. The real estate index closed three-tenths of a percent down at 280.84, the oil and natural gas index finished the day at 1,217.81, down seven tenths of a percent and the communications stocks declined .72 percent to 852.81.
