Report: Swedish Anarchists Vandalize Sukkah

Two Swedish women who vandalized a sukkah with anti-Israel slogans have been sent back to their home country, according to the hareidi-religious news outlet Kikar Shabbat. The women used spray paint to deface the sukkah in the Shimon Hatzaddik neighborhood of Jerusalem.

Among the slogans they sprayed on its walls were, “Make love not war,” “Free Palestine,” and “God Natt Israel.”

Many anarchists and other far-left activists oppose the Jewish presence in Shimon Hatzaddik, a historically Jewish neighborhood that fell into Jordanian hands in 1948 and was populated by Arab families as part of Jordanian policy. Since the reunification of Jerusalem in 1967 several Jewish families have returned to the area.
