Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei rejected Washington's "absurd accusations" over an alleged plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States.

The United States "have created a story these days (...) with absurd accusations against a number of Iranians (...) and accused Iran of supporting terrorism, but this type of conspiracy fails to isolate the Islamic Republic," Ayatollah Khamenei said in a televised speech.
