At a meeting Monday evening with Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz, Deputy Health Minister Ya'akov Litzman, and heads of the Histadrut, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu ordered negotiators to offer new doctors thousands of shekels a month in order to get them to help out during the crisis. The money would be paid to doctors who agreed to work exclusively for the public health system for a temporary period.
The program would help strengthen the health system in Israel.
