Livni: UN Speeches Gave Messages of Despair

Opposition Leader MK Tzipi Livni criticized Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s policy on Sunday.

Speaking at a toast in honor of Rosh Hashanah, Livni said: “In the end, after all the speeches, the State of Israel is not in a better position. The two speeches in the UN gave a message of despair, of leaders who are each on a different mountain and talking to their own people. This past weekend could have brought a different Israel in which Israeli citizens are looking at leaders who make decisions, but instead of entering the new year with a wind of change, Israel is on the defensive.”
