Education Minister Gid'on Sa'ar said, Thursday evening, that, "We must be strong and during this period, only the Likud party can and must lead the state. We find ourselves before a unilateral Palestinian process whose purpose is to bypass peace talks and the only way that can stop the [Arab-Israeli] conflict."
Addressing a pre-New Year's toast, Sa'ar said, "The Palestinians are serial refusers of peace since 1947 and they have always known how to say 'no' to negotiations, as well as when prime ministers gave everything, including part of our capital city. They don't want a state to end the conflict. They want a Palestinian state as a base for continuing the conflict with us. From here we wish Prime Minister [Binaymin] Netanyahu success ahead of his trip and speech in the United Nations next week."
