Member of Knesset Amir Peretz, who is running for the Labor party leadership, said that "Likud ministers and [Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu's people are helping Shelly Yachimovich in the [Labor party] primaries."

"They are talking to people, working their connections, helping her in the elections," Peretz added. "This battle between her and me, it's obviously Bibi's battle."

Peretz's accusation came in the wake of several analysts suggesting that a Yachimovich-led Labor would take votes from Kadima while a Peretz-led Labor would take votes from Likud.
