PLO to Act against Palmer Report in the Hague

The Executive Council of the Palestine Liberation Organization rejected, Sunday evening, the findings of the Palmer Committee report on last year's interception by Israel of a flotilla that tried to break the naval blockade of Gaza. The report held that the blockade is legal under international law.

A statement by the PLO council said the Palmer committee findings "contradict" international law and earlier United Nations decisions that "confirmed the lack of legitimacy of the Israeli occupation." The council said it would consider applying to the International Court of Justice in the Hague to end the blockade.
