A fire which broke out, Thursday afternoon in the Golan heights has reached the area next to Kfar Charuv and threatened to spread to the Nachal Meitzar Nature Reserve. Golan and Upper Galilee firefighters battling the blaze had to contend with high winds as well as high flames but authorities said Kfar Charuv was not threatened. Firefighting aircraft are also involved in the effort.

Police closed Route 90 in the area and prevented visitors from reaching the area. Highway 91 remained closed between Ein Gev and Sussita.
