Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange recorded sharp losses on Thursday. The TA composite index fell two percent to 962.14. Worst hit were the oil and natural gas stocks, which closed at 1,021.11, down 3.41 percent, while the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues fell 2.37 percent to 1,088.87 as part of a 2.11 percent by the TA 100 to 975.44.
The financial institutions finished the last day of the trading week at 951.40, down 2.75 percent and the real estate index fell 2.37 percent to 256.45. The media and communications index closed at 818.00, down 2.03 percent. The biomed stocks were the lightest hit, declining .64 percent to 663.87, while the rest of the technology stocks closed at 243.92, down 1.06 percent.
