Shekel, Dollar Stronger

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .11 percent in mixed trading on Thursday against most of the currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.609, up .028 percent, while the Euro fell .073 percent to 5.2119 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 5.9083, down .728 percent and the Japanese yen fell .77 percent, 100 yen buying 4.677 shekels. The Swiss frank was fixed at NIS 4.5453, down .571 percent, while the Norwegian krona rose .451 percent to .6681 shekels.
