IDF: Internal Auditor by End of Year

Deputy Chief Yair Naveh of the Israel Defense Forces promised, on Sunday, that the IDF will appoint its first-ever internal auditor in four months. Addressing  the Knesset Control Committee, General Naveh noted that the internal auditing is carried out by a military group and a civilian group under the security establishment's auditor, but a candidate for the position has been selected and the scope of the auditor's duties have been defined.

Committee Chairman Ronnie Bar-On had noted that establishment of the position has been on the agenda for 15 years and was the subject of a report by the state comptroller in 2005.
