Lebanese President Michel Sleiman called for a meeting of the country's Supreme Defense Council on Friday to take steps to implement security policy following the detonation of a bomb, Thursday in the Christian area of Antelias, in which two people were killed, according to the As-Safir daily. Interior Minister Marwan Charbel told the cabinet, on Thursday, that the background of the blast was a financial dispute. The bomb went off prematurely, preventing a large casualty count in a more crowded area.
The device exploded in a parking lot, near the car of a judge. There had been reports that the two people killed in the incident were Hizbullah terrorists.
