Syria’s UN Ambassador Bashar Jaafari rejected on Wednesday the criticism over the crackdown of President Assad’s regime on the protests in his country and compared the riots in Syria to those that broke out in Britain.

In his remarks, Jaafari said that European countries are hypocritical and arrogant. “The British Prime Minister described rioters in his country as gangsters but we were forbidden to call the rioters in our country that,” he said.
