The Israel Medical Association has announced a doctors' strike on Sunday. The announcement follows a Supreme Court ruling Monday which gave the IMA and the Treasury one week to reach a deal.
In the ruling, Justice Dorit Beinisch asked doctors to call a stop to strikes and other protest measures for one week. The IMA chose not to abide by her request, and is planning a strike affecting outpatient clinics and surgeries for Thursday.
The Sunday strike will affect public hospitals, health clinics affiliated with Clalit, Health Ministry regional offices, and Tipat Chalav clinics.
