Netanyahu Probing Apology to Turkey


Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, on Monday, that his office is examining the possibility of an apology to Turkey for the deaths of nine activists among those who attacked Israeli commandos who intercepted the Turkish ship Mavi Marmara in 2010, when it tried to break the Gaza naval blockade.

Netanyahu said, "On the one hand, this could protect soldiers, but on the other hand, it would not prevent civil suits...."
