Officials of the Prime Minister's Office, the Foreign Ministry, and the Defense Ministry will conduct a discussion on the ramifications of the upcoming release of the Palmer report on the 2010 Gaza flotilla. A report on Israel Radio said that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu would also meet with his inner cabinet to decide what, if anything, could be done to salvage relations with Turkey. Among the issued to be discussed will be whether or not Israel should issue a formal apology for the deaths of Hamas-affiliated Turkish activists on the Mavi Marmara. The cabinet is said to be split on the issue.
On Saturday, Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan again demanded that Israel apologize for the Marmara incident, pay reparations to the families of those who were killed, and remove the blockade on Gaza.
