The July 15th movement, which organized demonstations that turned violent in Jordan last Friday, said, Thursday, that it would hold another strike this Friday in Aman's Al-Tanhil Square.
The movement's announcement followed Wednesday's presentation of results of an investigation into last Friday's demonstration, in which police attacked journalists and demonstrators. Interior Minister Mazan Al-Sachet found the security establishment responsible for attacking the journalists, apologized to them and said further investigation would bring the perpetrators to justice and result in compensation to the journalists. He said that while the government was committed to freedom of expression, it would not let demonstrations continue indefinitely. The report also took demonstrators to task and cited the leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood for referring to those killed in reform demonstrations as martyrs.
