Second-Hand Smoke Linked to Hearing Loss
A study performed at NYU Langone Medical Center has found a link between exposure to second-hand cigarette smoke and hearing loss in teenagers. Teens with low- and high-frequency hearing loss had elevated levels of cotinine, a nicotine by-product.
More than 1,500 teenagers took part in the study.
