Jewish and Bedouin men clashed Tuesday over arson in the Binyamin region. The incident began when Bedouin trackers determined that a fire near the Jewish village of Mitzpeh Danny had been set deliberately by residents of a nearby Bedouin camp.
Several Jewish men went to the camp and demanded that arson attacks cease. In response, Bedouin men living there began throwing stones at the Jews and threatened to hit them.
Police arrived and detained one Jewish man because he was not carrying identification. Three Israeli men who went to a police station to complain about the arson were also detained, for alleged illegal entry and disturbing the peace.
