End of Advertising Fine Print

Industry, Commerce and Labor Minister Shalom Simchon signed regulations on Tuesday that require the smallest print in advertising to be 30 percent of the size of the biggest print. The regulations are intended to end the practice of making the actual conditions of sale difficult, if not impossible to read.

The regulations apply to printed media, including catalogs and brochures, as well as the internet. The ministry will undertake a campaign to make businesses and advertising agencies aware of the change before it goes into effect.
