Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Wednesday that while he was not present for voting on the boycott law, he had approved the bill and had worked to get it approved. He criticized opposition party Kadima, which voted against the bill and even punished MKs who failed to attend.
“You initiated this law... Why did the MKs from Kadima who supported the initial proposition decide to oppose the final proposal?” he challenged. He later answered himself, “The simple truth is that you initiated, supported and promoted this law, so why did you change your vote? There was pressure and you gave in.”
