Green Construction Regulations Updated
The Environment Ministry has updated its Green Construction authorization regulations. The regulations are designed to encourage builders to use environment-friendly methods and materials in their construction.
In order to receive credit for Green Building – which could qualify the structure for government incentives – buildings must be constructed in such a way that would save water, and contain facilities for separation of trash for recycling purposes. Buildings also need to be energy efficient, and materials used in construction must be proven to have not been damaging to the environment.
