Israeli generic drug giant Teva signed an agreement Friday with Merck & Company, Incorporated, under which Teva will not market generic versions of Merck's Vytorin and Zetia cholesterol drugs until 2017.

The agreement settles a patent suit by Merck against the generic drugs  Vytorin and Zetia produced more than four billion dollars in sales in 2010.
