MK Yoel Hasson (Kadima) has introduced a law to the Knesset stating that the authority to present certificates of honor to exposers of corruption belongs with the president alone. Until now, the presentation required the joint approval of the president and of the Knesset chairman. As a result, disagreements would prevent the presentation of such certificates to deserving candidates. The preliminary reading of the law has been approved by the Knesset.
