MK Moshe Matalon (Yisrael Beiteinu) over the weekend called for a cooling-off period for top IDF officials before they are allowed to publish books or give interviews about their work. “There is a terrible smell of politics and personal benefit in these discussions. With all due respect, these people are just clerks in the service of the top echelons of the country,” and have no right to be discussing their experiences and work in public.

Matalon was speaking at a cultural event in Herzliya over the weekend.
