A7 Award-Winning Passover Recipe
Arutz Sheva and the Philips company have announced the winners of the 2011 Passover Recipes competition. The first prize went to a recipe for sheep meat with truffles and chestnuts.
The recipe is as follows:
1 kilogram of sheep meat, preferably the neck
10 shallot onions
500 grams of truffles
300 grams of chestnuts
One teaspoon of sugar
One level teaspoon of cinnamon
A pinch of saffron
Salt and pepper to taste
4 tablespoons of olive oil
Heat the oil and add the meat and shallots. Add the rest of the ingredients, including the spices, stir well, and cook on a low flame for approximately one hour. Serve hot.
