Chief of Staff Benny Gantz ordered the repair of damage done to Lebanese and Syrian border fences and extra alertness along those borders Sunday evening.
The orders came during an assessment of the situation following attacks on the border by hostile Arab demonstrators during the daylight hours as part of their observance of the establishment of the modern state of Israel in 1948.
